STQK: EP.6 (I've got a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore)

New to the ongoing blog series called STQK "Would you like to know more?"

Hello there,

Continuing with the ongoing campaign, our Gamma World PCs were fighting against a zombie like android at an abandoned military base. When things took a surprising turn. As the android hit the atomic energy cell mixed with the force field it created a chain reaction that transported the three entities to a different planet all together.

Prelude

The Zira-Ka planet has faced dyer population levels through the years and with the looming alien invasion things have started to take a turn. An unidentified group working with the New Empire has uncovered cryptic data from the Umberzone and Colossi respectively, hinting that the Alien visitors are coming and require an "offering". This group has taken this interpretation as human sacrifice.

With the population depleting, implants are becoming not a viable solution for the alien's requirements. A program was then implemented to start kidnapping and cloning locals. These cloning farms became a dire tool for their survival from annihilation. Only recently, leadership started to use nanite technology to start growing organs from the kidnapped individuals to baste the sacrificial lamb.

(Spring boarding the Introduction Adventure from Suldokar's Wake as a starting point; Askha and Ysah had just received their orders from Solom Kroth an alien trader who is looking for data from a nearby station. Eager for some gunta coin the two accept the job and hope uploading and hacking the main terminal is a walk in the park.)

Scene 1

Light acid rain with a cold breeze hits Askha and Ysah as they start climbing the mudding path up the mountain side towards the station. Two members of their team backed out last minute and unfortunately both needed the gunta coin so on they went. A flash of light and a ball of swirling energy suddenly appear in front of the weary solider and old man. Three figures¹ lay in the aftermath of the crater left along the path.

As the dust started to settle, Askha and Ysah could make out that the three male individuals were badly hurt from their travel. One humanoid with tattered clothes and black eyes had some kind of foot fracture² as the foot twisted in a different direction. Another humanoid seemed to be holding his side² in pain as blood escaped from his body. The foxlike creature holding missing teeth² saying words hard to make out from the distance.

The two sprang into action and quickly tended the wounded³ well all at least two of them. The individual with the tortured foot, limbed away in an unknown direction⁴. As the humanoid with the punctured liver laid resting, Ysah was able to⁵ converse through mumbled speech with the foxlike creature as it tried to speak through shattered teeth.

As sometime passed and the acid rain started to die down. Askha could see a temple⁶ in the distance. Knowing it would be a matter of time until the New Empire caught up to her, she quickly decided it was best to lay low in the temple to rest.
